This section has special articles on weapons development in FFO.  These cover differences that arose in timing and outcome as a result of the different path of history.

The main reason for building this separate section is to make these background pieces more easily found for reference while reading other sections.

These are not nearly complete at this time, but additions will be made whenever possible. Please realize that there may not be a separate article covering the information you are seeking, and it may be buried in a paragraph or two in the main narrative.










February 1942
Learning from war experience, IJN submarine planners make clear-headed analyses of their doctrines, and develop new approaches to submarine warfare.  They also recognize the need to develop and build different submarines to conduct the revised operations.
June 1942
Organization of the French Army.  Organization of units and order of battle, June 1942.
1942-1944
Luftwaffe aircraft development and production. 1942 to end of war. Aircraft development and production relative to needs and OTL production resources.
1942-1943
Development of Soviet armoured vehicles and their production, and organization of units.  1942-43.
1942-1944
Development of German armoured vehicles including tanks and other modified gun-armed types from 1942 to1944.
1942-1945
Japanese innovation in shipbuilding techniques allowed them to build rapidly and efficiently, working around many of their technical weaknesses. These new methods allowed them to greatly increase their fleets of submarines and escort vessels, and to make some improvements in building small cargo vessels.
